After 15 years in insurance and 22 years in a lbotique law firm, I have opened my own firm to assist thnose in need of the specialized knowledge and support I can provide.  I actively suppport both the legal and real estate communities as well as providing CFO services to small businesses. 

     I am a graduate of the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and relolcated to the Columbia, South Carolina area in the mid 1980s.  I chose private industry over public accounting due to my insatiable curiosity and desire to learn new things. Thuis stood me well in my rapid rise through the various accounting related positions within the insurance industry. During this time, I sat for and passed the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam, which I am delighted to speak with anyone about.​

     in 2000, my career took a strange turn and I began managing a law firm.  in 2009, I was fortunate to obtain my forensic accounting certificate from the University of North Carolina - Charlotte, at which point I began assisting in litigation support. In 2013, I sat for and passed the Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) exam.  in 2015, I was asked to examine a trust which launched my Probate practice as an individual Trustee.

     Thus, in 2022, I am excited to announce the opening of Ballard Forensics,LLC and am looking forward to meeti ng  you soon,
